In November 2021, Patchway Town Council's Parks, Open Spaces, Planning and Transport Committee agreed to return an area of Scott Park back to nature. The details of which can be found here: https://www.patchwaytowncouncil.gov.uk/post/scott-park-nature-area
We have now commenced work on this area and want to update residents on our progress.
Since the turn of the year, we have installed a new walkway, defined with tree log's from trees that had to be cut down. We have added some bark chippings to this to create a circular walkaway around a feature tree. This inner area has also been planted with bulbs and seasonal plants. Three benches have been installed overlooking this area as well as the woodland, where we now have birds starting to take home in the bird boxes.
We hope to fully complete this area for opening in early Spring 2022.
