70th Anniversary of Patchway 1953 - 2023

2023 marked the 70th Anniversary of Patchway and the 70th year since the Almondsbury Parish Ward of Patchway became a Parish in its own right in 1953.

The Town Council ran a series of events and initiatives to commemorate and celebrate this significant moment for the town.

The Patchway Memory Wall

Residents young and a little older sent us their memorable images of Patchway from across many decades and we have been delighted to share these memories with the whole community.

Platinum Party in the Park

Patchway celebrated our 70th Anniversary with a fabulous Party in the Park on 8 July 2023 where thousands of residents and friends gathered together for a day of live music and entertainment at Scott Park, and included Crole’s Funfair, yummy food and drink, kids activities, a market, local organisations, raffle and quiz.

The Official Opening of the Norman Scott Park Pavilion and Sporting Facilities by Mayor of Patchway Cllr Dayley Lawrence, Cllr Roger Loveridge and local celebrity Geoff Twentyman also took place on 8 July.
