Scott Park Pickleball and Short Tennis Court

Within Norman Scott Park, Coniston Road, Patchway BS34 5JR

Available 1 May - 30 September

The Norman Scott Park hardcourt facility located close to the 3G Cricket Nets was funded through a Section 106 grant ‘to provide a free sporting facility for residents aged over 50’ and has been installed at the correct dimensions and lined suitable for use for pickleball and short tennis.

The Hardcourt is available with full equipment for both pickleball and short tennis including nets, rackets, paddles, and the correct balls for each game. The court and equipment can be booked for FREE by all residents over 50 or by older persons groups and organisations by contacting Patchway Town Council.

Residents or groups representing under 50s pay a fee of £15 for a session.

Sessions can be booked for up to 3hrs between the hours of 8am and 6pm across the summer season - 1 May – 30 September.

Initially the hardcourt is only available for one 3hr booking period per day though this is expected to increase as a new online system is established.

Equipment is stored at the Norman Scott Park Pavilion for collection by the user and a refundable deposit will be required in advance of the booking. This will be refunded on safe return of all equipment to the Pavilion and confirmation by the Council staff.

Norman Scott Park is also home to Snack Attacks in The Park and Patchway Sports & Social Club for before or after match refreshments and food.
