Scott Park Nature Area

Patchway Town Council's Parks, Open Spaces, Planning and Transport committee are pleased to share their outline block plan for what will be included in the newly created Scott Park Nature Area.

The area, which is at the rear of the current play area, will have a new gate put into it with a walkway around the perimeter for our residents to get out and enjoy the nature. We have already installed eight bird boxes in the trees.

We aim to plant tree and hedgerow saplings along the perimeter of all existing fence lines thus providing more screening to this area. We will install three benches, just off of the newly created path, overlooking the flower meadow which will be planted with bulbs and flowers to boost nature in this area. We want nature to feel at home and will be providing a variety of species, planted by our own Ground Staff.

This is the first step in getting this area returned back to nature and we will have more projects in this area, once we are up and running. If you have any suggestions please contact us via email to office@patchwaytowncouncil.gov.uk
