Patchway Town Council is pleased to announce further funding of £1350 to three local groups as part of the Community Grants Programme. Each year, Patchway Town Council provides grants that benefit our local community and residents.
The recipients of the September round of community grants are:
North Bristol Rugby Club have been awarded £500 to support the Star Scheme which aims to make a difference in the lives off children and young people who are suffering or have suffered adverse childhood experiences, poverty or mental illness.
Patchway Cricket Club have been awarded £500 to support the seasonal maintenance of the cricket square and wickets following a season of growth in the junior teams, and an increased number of games played across the season.
Southern Brooks Community Partnerships have been awarded £350 to support Diwali celebrations in October which will include working with young people through FACE, lantern crafts with St Chad’s Children’s Group, and at Coniston Community Centre through the ‘Coniston Connect’ programme with up to 30 adults.
We will hear more about how these grants from Patchway Town Council have supported these groups as the programmes progress.
Mayor of Patchway Cllr Dayley Lawrence said, ‘It has been really fantastic considering the grants for 2024, and the Council is delighted with the breadth and creativity of the groups and organisations across Patchway making applications.
