Patchway Town Council to approach South Gloucestershire Council regarding double yellows on Coniston Road

At the Full Meeting of Patchway Town Council on 16^th June 2026, Patchway Town Council agreed to approach South Gloucestershire Council to apply for double yellow parking restrictions between 86 – 100 Coniston Road, Patchway.

The Council is concerned that this section of Coniston Road is becoming a dangerous section for pedestrians and other road users due to parking on both sides of the road, and the bus stops in the vicinity.

The Council has responded to numerous Coniston Road residents who have major concerns about this stretch of this busy road especially when cars park inconsiderately on both sides of this main thoroughfare.

The Council will keep residents informed of progress, though does need to make residents aware this may be a lengthy process.
