Mayor of Patchway hosts cream tea to raise funds for the Mayors Charity

On 22nd June, Mayor of Patchway, Cllr Roger Loveridge hosted a Cream Tea event at the Casson Centre on Rodway Road to raise funds for the Mayors Charity. The cream tea was fully booked with many residents enjoying homemade scones with cream and jam, all washed down with tea or coffee.


A raffle was held with an exciting array of prizes on offer, and Cllr Jenny James supported the event by selling tickets to people at their tables.


The Mayors Charities for 2026 – 2027 are Patchway Judo Club, Foundation for Active Community Engagement (FACE), and the Memory Café based at St Chad’s Church.


Mayor of Patchway, Cllr Roger Loveridgesaid, ‘I am really pleased to see so many people come out on such a warm day to support this event that is raising funds for three organisations that are close to my heart. The event had a wonderful atmosphere and the raffle gave everyone the opportunity to support though take a prize home. I would like to thank everyone who attended, and to the back- of house team who put on the event’.
