Mayor of Patchway hosts successful Fun in the Park at Norman Scott Park

On 30^th July 2026, Mayor of Patchway Cllr Roger Loveridge hosted a Family Fun in the Park event at Norman Scott Park for over 400 of the younger residents of the town to enjoy.

On a glorious, sunny day in the park, youngsters and their parents enjoyed many free and 20p activities including Hook-a-Duck, Find the Mouse, Hoopla and darts. ‘Name the Toy’ was a huge success with local resident Maddox eventually winning Gerald the Bear.

K-Pop attended the event with lots of music, dancing, fun antics and photo opportunities for the crowd. K-Pop was provided through Snack Attacks in the Park.

Fun in the Park was hosted by the Mayor with the sterling support of a dedicated group of volunteers including Cllr Jenny James from the Town Council. Prizes for every child were donated from across the town and ensured that no child left empty-handed.

The few pence a go for activities also contributed £108.89 to the 2026 – 2027 Mayors Charity appeal.

Cllr Loveridge said; ‘It was really wonderful to see so many younger residents of Patchway come along to the Park on a sunny day in the school holidays. We were delighted to be able to offer these activities, and through a few pence a go, we raised funds for the Mayors Charity that will support 2^nd Patchway Scouts, Patchway Judo Club and Patchway Youth Centre.
