We were established 63 years ago in Little Stoke as a young wives group, but over the years we have developed into a community group.
Originally our members were within Little Stoke, but over time we have grown with members from Bradley Stoke, Stoke Gifford, Stoke Lodge, Filton and Patchway. We meet twice monthly on the first and third Tuesday of each month from 7.30pm at Little Stoke Baptist Church, Kingsway, BS34 6JW
Our activities include speakers’ meetings, quiz nights, entertainment nights with a light buffet, skittles, day trips and eating out. We also have a focus on well-being to ensure members are supported. We participate in community events including International Women’s Day, where the 2025 talk was on “Red Dress in Popular Culture”.
We have had a talk by the local Avon & Somerset Police beat officer about personal safety, and after hearing a talk on bees, we visited the bee hives in Little Stoke to spend the afternoon being a beekeeper.
Members also have the opportunity to share their interests and skills with the Club. One of our members, Molly, gave a talk on how to wear a sari. We are always looking for new members including from Patchway and you are welcome to join us. So get involved and we can be contacted via the details below.
