Homes for Ukraine will be holding a commemoration service marking two years since the invasion of Ukraine on Saturday 24 February, between 6pm and 9pm at St Mary’s Church, Church Road, Yate BS37 5BG. All residents and Ukrainian guests are invited to attend.
The service will be attended by dignitaries from South Gloucestershire Council and Yate Town Council and will include a candlelight vigil to remember about those left behind in Ukraine.
There will be traditional Ukrainian music from choirs, an opera singer and Bandura players, as well as readings in both Ukrainian and English. After the service, guests are invited to join the Homes for Ukraine team for refreshments.
