VCSE Grants 2024


South Gloucestershire Council have opened a consultation regarding potential changes to the VCSE (Voluntary, Community Social Enterprise) Grants application process.


The budget for VCSE services will be £155,000 per year. This funding stream will form a new grants programme called The Community Health and Wellbeing Action Fund (CHWA).


They want to work with the public, partners and organisations to develop a grant programme process that works well for everyone involved.


If you are a member of the public who has or will potentially use these services, or part of an organisation that is interested in applying for a grant, they would like you to complete a questionnaire found here.


This consultation is open between 15 November 2023 to end of day 23 January 2024.

Charlton & Cribbs - A4018 Cribbs Causeway Speed Reduction Scheme


South Gloucestershire Council are proposing a scheme to reduce the existing 50mph speed limit on the A4018 down to 40 mph. The new length of 40mph will join the existing 40mph speed limit at the Lysander Road roundabout to the existing 40mph speed limit at the Station Road / Wyck Beck Road roundabout.


This consultation closes on 4th December 2023.

Recommissioning of Healthwatch services


A proposal to recommission the Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire Healthwatch service is currently being consulted on by Bristol City, South Gloucestershire and North Somerset councils.


The consultation outlines the proposal for Healthwatch and asks about your awareness of Healthwatch, interest in health and social care services and the best ways for Healthwatch to listen to your experiences.
