South Gloucestershire Council Updates

Young People Vote for Favourite Book

At the Concorde Book Awards, the young people of South Gloucestershire voted ‘Ghostcloud’ by Michael Mann as their winner. This is the welcome return of the awards after they paused during the Covid-19 pandemic, last held in 2020. As before, this year’s winner was chosen after an exciting district-wide reading challenge in which young people from groups across the district read their way through a shortlist of titles.

Bank Holiday preparation

Make sure you order and collect your repeat prescriptions before the Easter bank holiday long weekend (29 March to 1 April). GPs and many pharmacies close for the bank holidays so it’s important to make sure you have enough medication to last. You can order your prescription on the NHS App or via your GP.
