SOUTH GLOUCESTERSHIRE COUNCIL

(Bradley Stoke Way, Bradley Stoke and A38 Gloucester Road, Patchway) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles, Foot Passengers, Pedal Cycles and Equestrians) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles, foot passengers, pedal cycles and equestrians the lengths of road specified in Schedule 1 to this notice.

This order is required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon Active Travel CRSTS works on or adjacent to the highway. The order will be operative from 9 January 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closures however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works. It is anticipated that the works at each location will be carried out between the hours of 8pm and 6am on the dates specified in column 2 of the said Schedule. See Schedule 2 for alternative routes.
