SOUTH GLOUCESTERSHIRE COUNCIL
(Footpath Brittania Road to Coniston Road, Patchway) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Foot Passengers) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to foot passengers the entire length of Footpath Brittania Road to Coniston Road.
This order is required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon new electric connection works. The order will be operative from 14 October 2026 for a maximum period of six months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 2 weeks duration.
Alternative route: Coniston Road, Highwood Road, Highwood Lane, Brittania Road and vice versa.
