Holiday activities for children this winter

There is a wide range of holiday activities and food clubs running across South Gloucestershire this winter school holiday, which can be booked for children aged 5 to 16 years old. Places are fully funded for your children if you have successfully applied for benefits-related free school meals. They will also be given a free healthy lunch.

Warm Packs

As part of our ongoing support with the rising cost of living, we are giving out packs of supplies to help you keep warm. These are for families, adults and pensioners who are struggling to heat their homes to 18 degrees Celsius. They are available at all our libraries, children’s centres and One Stop Shops.

Discuss Transport proposals

We are hosting an information evening about our proposals for the A38 from Thornbury to junction 16 of the M5, as well as Bradley Stoke Way to improve active and sustainable travel. Come along to Almondsbury Old School Hall, BS32 4ED on Thursday 14 December, between 6pm and 8pm. You can meet the project team and ask any questions.

Domestic abuse support

Anybody can experience domestic abuse, but nobody should. It can take many forms, including financial, emotional, physical and sexual. This week we launch our campaign which highlights the different types of abuse that can affect people of any age. If you have concerns about a family member or neighbour, call Next Link Plus+ in confidence on freephone 0800 4700 280.
