SOUTH GLOUCESTERSHIRE COUNCIL

(A38 Gloucester Road North, Patchway) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Foot Passengers) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to foot passengers that length of A38 Gloucester Road North southbound footway which extends from its junction with Bolingbroke Way to its junction with North Way.

This order is required for the following reason: in connection with live pit connection works. The order will be operative from 6 October 2025 for a maximum period of six months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 5 days duration.

Alternative route: Crossing at North Way junction, footway past Royal Mail, crossings under flyover, Gipsy Patch entry slip footway inbound and vice versa
