Patchway comes together for the town’s Remembrance Service

Patchway showed its respect at this year’s Remembrance Service held on Sunday 16th November with a March starting from The Parade ahead of the Service held at the Cenotaph at Norman Scott Park.

The Service and March included Army Cadets, Air Corps, Sea Cadets, 2nd Patchway Scouts and Beavers, serving and former personnel from all Services, the Mayor of Patchway, Councillors, the Town Clerk and local MP Claire Hazelgrove.

The Service was held at the Cenotaph at Norman Scott Park with many residents joining the local Services and Cadets in a poignant tribute.

This important annual remembers the fallen in all conflicts and is run as a partnership across the Patchway, Stoke Gifford & District branch of the Royal British Legion and Patchway Town Council.

Mayor of Patchway, Cllr Dayley Lawrence said, ‘Thank you Patchway. This important moment of the year remembers those who have fallen for their country; and everyone who has or is serving for their country’.
