On Saturday 11th May, Mayor of Patchway, Cllr Dayley Lawrence and Cllr Angela Morey attended the Friends of Callicroft Primary Academy Spring Fair on a beautiful, sunny day in Patchway.
The day was packed full of fabulous entertainment with the aim of raising funds for the school’s facilities. Alongside stalls selling locally made goodies, there was light sabre challenges – which the Mayor of Patchway proved highly skilled at – and a colour run that got the children literally changing colour as they passed the paint throwers who included Cllr Angela Morey!
Head Jonathan Keohane was locked into stocks for wet sponges to be thrown, and Matt Alner from the Friends was duly gunged by the Mayor of Patchway and others to conclude the afternoon.
Mayor of Patchway, Cllr Dayley Lawrence said, ‘What a brilliant day in brilliant sunshine at the summer fair. I had such a good time particularly in the light sabre challenge and meeting the Storm Troopers. Well done to everyone who made the day such a fantastic one for so many people!’.
