Mayor of Patchway hosts second cream tea event for the Mayors Charity
On 21st September, Mayor of Patchway, Cllr Roger Loveridge hosted his second Cream Tea event at the Casson Centre raising funds for the Mayors Charity. Another bumper crowd of local residents, and others from as far as Emersons Green enjoyed homemade scones with cream and jam, plus plenty of tea or coffee.
With exciting gifts donated by local residents and groups, a raffle was held which boosted funds raised from the event.
A whopping £206.00 was raised from this event which added to the June Cream Tea event means a running total of £550.58 has been raised so far this civic year.
The Mayors Charities for 2026 – 2027 are Patchway Judo Club, Foundation for Active Community Engagement (FACE), and the Memory Café based at St Chad’s Church.
Mayor of Patchway, Cllr Roger Loveridge said, ‘It was wonderful to see so many local people and people from further afield support our second Cream Tea event which has raised further funds that can be distributed across the three chosen charities. We had a great team of volunteers helping us, and the atmosphere was wonderful across the event.’.
