Patchway Town Council are excited to announce significant progress with the Junior Darts Corporation (JDC) for an exciting new future for the former and much-loved sports and social club building within Norman Scott Park, Patchway. After over a year of closure, the building is set to re-open its doors in early 2026, bringing new life and energy to the park and local community.
This iconic building in the centre of Patchway’s largest park is set to become the latest sports venue, public bar, community and entertainment centre for the locally-based though nationwide and international JDC with a focus on the growing world of junior darts.
Over the next few weeks and months, the JDC will be making exciting and significant investment into the building fabric and internal spaces.
The JDC team are visioning an all-year round inclusive programme of activity and events to include a public sports bar; and including spaces for events, and local community activities. The team behind the JDC are locally based, understand the local community, and are keen to engage with residents and visitors as the new enterprise welcomes people in the new year.
Mayor of Patchway Cllr Dayley Lawrence said, ‘Everyone at the Council is very excited to be working with the Junior Darts Corporation as they take on this important building within the town. We support the vision from the JDC on providing a venue that will not only re-open this community asset; though will add a dynamic new activity and opportunity for the town and wider area.
‘I also want to thank my fellow Councillors, plus the Council officers and estates team for all their hard work in moving this project forward to this positive new phase’.
