Patchway Town Council awards £2750.00 in second round of Community Grants

Patchway Town Council is pleased to have awarded £2750.00 to four locally based groups in Round 2 of the Town Council Community Grants programme. The Council also pledged a further £1300.00 for two more organisations subject to them securing match funding. This would mean a total of £8450.00 of funding through the whole Community Grants programme in 2025 – 2026.
Each year, Patchway Town Council provides grants that benefit our local community and residents. The recipients of Round 2 of Patchway Town Council Community Grants are:
Bristol Jets BMX have been granted £750.00 to improve coaching facilities to effectively deliver British Cycling standard coaching sessions through crating a large tarmac area at the track at The Tumps. The technical track improvements will also enable the sport to evolve and provide a fun experience for beginners and a challenge for expert riders.
Patchway Short Mat Bowling Club have been granted £750.00 towards funding the purchase an electrically powered carpet winder. The group based at Patchway Community Centre is seeking to invest in the electrically powered winder to ensure the club remains inclusive for members of all ages to participate.
Mamas Bristol support families across Patchway and the wider South Gloucestershire area and have been granted £750.00 towards funding an OMI interactive mobile projector which provides a safe way for children of all ages and all abilities to be active and included whether neurotypical or diverse.
Great Western Air Ambulance have been granted £500 towards providing lifesaving missions in the Patchway area, as well as across the wider Bristol region including an increasing number of young people.
We will hear more about all the Community Grants projects as they conclude and all organisations will be invited to the Annual Town Assembly to present their projects on 28th April 2026.
