On Saturday 1st November, the Patchway ‘Halloween Fireworks to Music’ brought a spooky and thrilling evening to remember for our community.
Mayor of Patchway, Cllr Dayley Lawrence opened the gates at 5.00pm for the steady stream of residents heading into the park for a midnight feast of Halloween entertainment, spooky thrills and fantastic food and drink.
Council staff and councillors welcomed people into the Park with young people who had ‘dressed to scare’ receiving a Halloween gift or glowstick to recognise their spooky efforts!
Crole’s Funfair provided howls of delight as the Dragon Rollercoaster and the Twister took riders breath away; and younger visitors were treated to the Tea Cups, Hook a Duck and many ‘fun of the fair’ stalls.
The 10-foot Angel on Stilts provided a great photo opportunity as she walked the Park with a trail of fans in her wake. Our Fire Entertainer wowed the building crowds with a mesmerising show including fire-eating and exciting flame-fuelled feats.
Ahead of the highly anticipated display from the Dynamic Fireworks team, the crowd was (trick or) treated to a pumping DJ set which got the growing numbers in the viewing area and accessible viewing area energised into a monster mash party mood.
Following an introduction and countdown from the Mayor of Patchway, the Halloween Fireworks to Music show blasted into action for 15 minutes of power, light and music as a stunning pyrotechnics display painted a vivid picture across the Patchway skyline. All delivered to a spooky and ghostly soundtrack.
The evening was delivered through the generous volunteer support of Town Councillors working alongside the Council staff team; with kind sponsorship from Happy Days Nursery Charlton Heights.
Mayor of Patchway, Cllr Dayley Lawrence said, ‘Thank you Patchway. You are brilliant. You once again came out in massive numbers and supported one of the Council’s biggest annual events, and you all had fun. You are all invited again next year!’.
See you in 2026!
