The Mayor’s Christmas Appeal 2024 has spread goodwill across the town with gifts and food items donated by the generous people of Patchway for distribution this festive season.
Mayor of Patchway Cllr Dayley Lawrence put out a call for local residents and businesses to donate gifts for our primary school children, and food items to create special hampers.
Through the generosity of this community including Marge Brown, Miss Red & Queen Bee, Mini Concerts, local town councillors and council staff, the Mayor was delighted to deliver gifts to Coniston Primary School and Callicroft Primary Academy in the last week of term. Hampers are being distributed across the week through working with local resident super-hero Sue Williams.
Festive Santa hats off to Asda Cribbs Causeway and Caroline, Community Champion for supporting the Mayor’s Christmas Appeal through the team being based in the store in the Christmas build-up. And to all the customers who contributed through our stand near the tills.
Mayor of Patchway, Cllr Dayley Lawrence said, ‘Once again, you did it Patchway. I asked for support and you responded in such a brilliant way. It was really fantastic to be able to visit the schools with the gifts so generously donated and expertly wrapped. Give yourself a pat on the back. And an extra mince pie!’.
