Councillor Roger Loveridge elected as Mayor of Patchway for 2026 - 2027

At the Annual Statutory Meeting of Patchway Town Council on 19^th May 2026, Cllr Roger Loveridge was elected Chair of the Council and Mayor of Patchway for the council year May 2026 – May 2027.

Cllr Pete Knight was elected as Vice Chair and Deputy Mayor at the same meeting.

Cllr Loveridge signed the Declaration of Acceptance of Office. Both councillors read and signed an Acceptance of Office Oath stating:

“Having been elected to the office of Mayor / Deputy Mayor of Patchway Town Council by my fellow councillors I now declare to you that I promise to execute my civic duty as Mayor / Deputy Mayor in a way that is expected of me.

To promote the good work of the Council and to always have my best intentions for the people of Patchway at heart.

I make this declaration on this day, Tuesday 19th May 2026.”

Councillors thanked outgoing Mayor of Patchway Cllr Dayley Lawrence (2022 – 2026) and Deputy Mayor Cllr Angela Morey (2024 – 2026) for their dedication and service. Both Councillors remain on the Council.
