Patchway Community School students report back on recent visit to Gauting

office09115

In early June 2024, 7 students and 2 teachers from Patchway Community School visited our twin town of Gauting, Germany to undertake work experience in schools and local businesses, join local young people across a number of activities, and who were hosted by local families.

The twinning visit sought to build new relationships between young people and the schools across the two towns, strengthen international links and introduce new cultures. The group also had a meeting with the Mayor of Gauting and members of the Gauting Twinning Association; and participated in sports activities including a return match of dodgeball with local high school students.

The visit was kindly funded through the Friends of Patchway Twinning successfully securing generous educational funding from Almondsbury Charity.
