Older Person’s Hard Court Area at Scott Park

Patchway Town Council has responded to a call from residents for an older person’s sports area in Norman Scott Park. Funding was obtained through Section 106 development income as well as the Town Council’s own new projects budget. The Council has installed an Older Person’s Hard Court Area in Scott Park for the use of Short Tennis, Pickleball and similar sports activities.

Construction was completed in late July 2023 and is 10m x 8m court and fully lined up for short tennis. The Court is adjacent to the existing 3G Cricket Nets facility and the Outdoor Gym Equipment completing a sports area of Scott Park. The area is being re-seeded to complete the project.

An official opening event is planned for spring 2024, and local pickleball clubs have been informed of the facility which will have its own net and rackets available through the Council for clubs and residents. Please get in touch with the Council if you are looking to use the Court for specific activities on 07903 628422 or office@patchwaytowncouncil.gov.uk
