Patchway’s Mayor visits the Scouts

Updated: Nov 23, 2022

Mayor of Patchway, Cllr Dayley Lawrence, has paid a visit to the Second Patchway Scout Group.

As part of his Mayoral duties, Cllr Lawrence attended a meeting of the Scouts where the children who attended got to have a very personal question and answer session with the Mayor, with lots of children taking the opportunity to ask the Mayor what he does!

The Second Patchway Scout Group are one of the Mayor’s nominated charities and the visit was to see the work that is going on behind the scenes of this long-established group.

When asked about his visit, Cllr Lawrence stated ‘I really enjoyed my visit to The Second Patchway Scout Group. The young people there were so enthusiastic about Patchway and asked a lot of good questions of me, which was lots of fun! It was really nice to engage with the children who will be benefiting from our Mayoral Charity’s collections. The leaders do a wonderful job, and it is no surprise that that Scouts are one of Patchway’s longest standing groups!’
