Multi-agency teams led by Avon and Somerset Police (Neighbourhood Team and Topaz) to promote the work of the South Gloucestershire Violence Reduction Unit, will engage with young people and the communities they live in to promote key messages about early help, reducing the risk of harm from drug and alcohol use, exploitation, and violence. The event will remind young people about the importance of staying safe during the summer holidays.
The event will run from midday until 7pm on Monday 25th July in the Patchway area. Multiagency teams will be at The Parade, Coniston Road, Charlton Hayes Estate, Scott Park and Mansell Road area.
The focus of the event is engagement with professionals from education, health, youth services, police, fire, local authority community safety teams and Violence Reduction Unit, who will be available throughout the day to talk to the community. There will also be some youth provisions at The Patch between 16:00-18:00 for young people.
