On Saturday 23rd July 2022, the Mayor of Patchway Cllr Daley Lawrence, was invited to take part in the community day at Curry’s within Cribbs Causeway. This day was to launch their newly refurbished store as well as raising some money for some local charities in our area. The day was in aid of FACE, who have just started taking over the youth work in Patchway and Four Towns Transport, who run a number of services from within Patchway.
The day was packed with so much fun from the high-tech Google Bus to the Big Wheel and even some amazing street food! The Mayor of Patchway had taken a ride on the Big Wheel and enjoyed the views of Cribbs Causeway from the top of the attraction.
Teams of staff from FACE and Four Towns Transport were on hand to raise money with games and attractions as well as a large raffle with some amazing prizes!
The Mayor of Patchway Cllr Daley Lawrence, had this to say on the event, ‘It was a great pleasure to support such a fabulous event for our community here in Cribbs Causeway raising money for two charities who do so much in our local area. The new store looks incredible and it is amazing to see such a long standing business in our area thrive and be able to upgrade their offerings in the post-pandemic world. It is even more important that this day is in aid of two charities who are an important part of our community and I hope that residents really get behind these two charities.’
