Christmas at the Community Hub

Patchway Town Council is delighted to announce our ‘Christmas at The Community Hub’ festive season at the Casson Centre, Rodway Road. The Hub continues to be a space for the people of Patchway into the Christmas period open Monday to Friday (10am – 2pm).

Our regular Friday Bingo continues every Friday until 16 December, and starts again from 6 January 2023.

In partnership with Southern Brooks, we will offer ‘Christmas card making’ on 6 December, and ‘Rag wreath making’ for adults on 15 December.

And the Community Hub will be transformed into Santa’s Grotto from 19 – 21 December for the children of Patchway to take part in crafting activities as well as a chance to meet Santa in his Grotto with a small gift for every child.

19 December | Clay handprint crafts

20 December | Stocking making

21 December | Christmas branches

Booking is essential for Santa’s Grotto and Crafts with 1hr adult & child timeslots available at

We are extremely grateful to all the generous providers of gifts, food, toys, activities and supplies for the Hub from local residents, businesses, community organisations and large stores. And to the army of volunteers who have looked after the Hub since October. The Hub has been recognised as a South Gloucestershire ‘Community Welcome Space’ and received a grant from The Care Forum.

The Community Hub will pause from 23 December to 2 January 2023, reopening on Tuesday 3 January 2023 until end of February. Patchway Library close to the Casson Centre is also a Community Welcome Space for residents seeking a warm place within regular hours, and extended Open Access hours for library members.

We’ll be posting updates on the Patchway Town Council Facebook, and at

Merry Christmas to all our Patchway community.
