Patchway Town Council will be having a back lane amnesty morning on Monday 28th February from 8:15am to 10:15am, due to the sheer amount of fly tipping that has been going on in our back lanes. We do not know who has been tipping this waste however we want to try and ensure it does not happen again. The lane in question will be the one that runs between Durban Road and Pretoria Road. This lane has been chosen due to amount of complains we receive regarding fly tipping.
Our Ground Staff will have their large truck ready for you to load on any waste that is outside the rear of your property. South Gloucestershire Council will only clear fly tipping if it is on their lane and not moved to the side, where we know most of this tipped waste is. Our staff will assist you if you are unable to carry the waste.
The Town Council have agreed to undertake this one off clearance to try and start afresh in our back lanes. We are asking all residents to assist us with this clearance and your co-operation would be very appreciated. The route of the clearance can be seen below. If you’re not going to be available but know of any fly tipped rubbish, please can you let the Town Clerk know via email to clerk@patchwaytowncouncil.gov.uk.
We hope to roll this out over the whole of Patchway soon!
