To celebrate the 70th anniversary of Patchway becoming a Parish in its own right, Patchway Town Council have organised a BIG party in Norman Scott Park for all residents to come together and celebrate!
The event will be held in the whole park on Saturday 8th July 2023 between 11am and 9pm. The event is free to attend for all local residents and there is lots to do for everyone!
At the start of the event, the Mayor of Patchway, will open all of Patchway Town Council’s sporting facilities officially. These include the Jason Franklin 3G Facility, the Twin-Lane Cricket Net Facility as well as the Norman Scott Park Pavilion. Ceremonial ribbon will be cut and speeches will be made from Patchway Town Council officials, declaring the 70th anniversary event open.
As we reach midday, Mini Concerts will take to the stage with live music from 1950 to the modern day. There talented singers will get you into the party spirit throughout the day of the main stage. Joining Mini Concerts on the main stage during the day is children’s magician and entertainer, JoJo Sparkles. JoJo will be performing hilarious sets throughout the day, so ensure to get a front row spot for some illusion!
Jimmy Crole’s BIG funfair will be coming into town with a whole host of rides and attractions for the whole family. This attraction is always very popular and we cannot wait to see residents taking part in some traditional funfair games too!
There will also be a plethora of local stallholders forming our very own Town Market selling their crafts, sweets and local information stalls. If you are interested in having a stall, please email office@patchwaytowncouncil.gov.uk before 1st June 2023.
We will have plenty of food and drink on offer from Snack Attacks in the Park as well as a whole host of other food and drink vendors. The list of these will be revealed closer to the time!
Special Occasion Mascots will be providing their home town with Toy Story mascots, Woody, Jessy and Buzz as well as a ROARsome experience with a baby dinosaur! These characters will be walking around for an hour during the event, so keep your eyes peeled.
We will also have a covered seating area, circus workshops for the kids and a whole host of other attractions for the whole family!
