Independent People is the leading provider of housing, support and advice to young people aged between 16 and 25 in Bristol and South Gloucestershire. We exist to support young people to build independent lives. We do this by helping people find (and keep) a safe, stable home. We also offer non-judgmental support and advice on counselling, training and help finding jobs. No other organisation in the area has the same wealth of experience and resources.

Air Training Corps
Better known as the Air Cadets a UK wide force whith more than 40,000 members aged between 13 and 20 years. Sponsored by the Royal Air Force the ATC will give you hands on experience of activities and courses that will challenge and develop your skills to help you succeed in whatever you want to do . Activities include flying, field training, shooting, BTEC, Duke of Edinburgh award, adventure training, first aid and sport . Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for AA membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for AA membership; we are self supporting through our own contributions. AA is not allied with any sect denomination, politics, organisation or institution; does not wish to engage in any controversy, neither endorses nor opposes any causes. Our primary purpose is stay sober and help other alcoholics achieve sobriety.

Four Towns and Vale Link Community Transport
Safe, cost effective, accessible transport for residents and groups in the Four Towns and Vale Link areas. We offer a Ring and Ride Service for individuals,a Group Hire Service and a Social Car Scheme. We have a fleet of mini buses and can accommodate wheelchair users.During the summer months trips are organised to places of interest. South Gloucestershire concessionary bus passes are entitled to free travel on Ring and Ride journeys only. Home Library Service
If you are unable to visit your local library due to temporary or permanent disability and have no one who can call for you , simply telephone the library and ask about our home library service. Most libraries have a number of volunteers themselves regular library users , who will call on you at your home, initially with a member of the library staff , to discuss your requirements. The volunteer will then agree with you the frequency of visits and the number of books/tapes etc that you would like. If you need additional help or information between visits the libary staff will always be happy to help you if you telephone them . If you would like to use this service , know of someone who would benefit from it or if you would ike to know how to become a volunteer contact the number below.

South Gloucestershire's 20 Safer,Stronger Community Groups are all about working together to improve you local community. Spotlight Children's Drama Group
Spotlight Children's Drama is based at Patchway Community Centre on Rodway Road and we do fun theatre activities such as, dressing up, mime, improvising a play, performing shows, and singing and dancing. We meet every Saturday morning during term time. For ages 7-12 years from 10.30-12.00.
All staff are CRB cleared and experienced drama teachers. Only £3.50 per morning.

Sunday Tea Party
For anyone aged 60 or over from Patchway, Filton and The Stokes, Age UK and Coniston Community Association provide a free tea party on the last Sunday in the month. Held between 2.30 â€“ 4.30 pm at Brooks CafÃ©, Coniston Community Centre in Patchway.
To raise funds for future tea parties, a raffle is held and prizes are always needed. The tea parties are run by volunteers from Coniston Community Association

The Wednesday Lunch Club is open for all residents in Patchway and all the surrounding areas over 55 years of age . There is no joining fee but a charge of £2.50 is made for each meal. Lunch is served at Patchway Community Centre from 12 noon to 1.30 pm.
